Aidan & Robyn
The first time he held her he was in awe of her and couldn't take his eyes off her. Suddenly, he bowed his head and said a little prayer. We were all taken aback, (and if you knew Aidan you would be, too). It was a really cool moment.

Robyn Dale Pickard
So, she's finally here! On Monday night , (the 15th) around 7:30 I started feeling contractions with a little bit of intensity, so at 8:00 I called my midwife to let her know I'd probably be going into labor that night. My mom timed the contractions for an hour and they were mostly about 5 minutes apart, so we decided to head out. We dropped the kids off with T.J. and Dawn, (Dave's brother and his wife) and started the 40 minute drive to the birth center. By now my contractions were becoming increasingly difficult to manage, especially in the winding, sometimes bumpy roads we were taking to get to the birth center. We arrived at about 9:45 and I was seriously concerned with how I was going to manage many hours of this intense pain with no drugs, ("What was I thinking, going to a BIRTH CENTER!?) but when Michelle checked me I was already dilated to a 9, (thank heaven) so I knew I was almost done. I was able to rest between contractions and it didn't take long before I was pushing. In 2 or 3 pushes, (at 10:17)out she came, sunny-side-up, pink, eyes wide open, and talking! She was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen, (sorry Ethan & Aidan) and I felt instant relief from the pain. It was amazing.

Due Date
For anyone paying attention, my due date has come and gone and I still have nothing to show for it, but if you know what's good for you you won't ask or tell me anything to do with babies until after you know I've had mine! (Yes, I'll let you know when it happens)
